PACERS GAMING ACQUIRES ALL-STAR GUARD VANDI

INDIANAPOLIS – Just a day after the major news that the NBA 2K League was coming to Indianapolis for the ’22 campaign, Pacers Gaming secured its starting lineup for all the games to be played in the Hoosier state with a major trade.

Coach Cody Parrent traded this year’s (Feb. 26) 19th overall draft pick and a future first-round selection to Grizz Gaming for veteran all-star guard, Zack “VANDI” Vandivier.  Vandi started all 28 games for the Grizz last year, averaging 25.7 points and 10 assists per contest.

Vandi is an Ohio native who has many relatives in Central Indiana; his dad, uncle, aunt, grandfather and grandmother ALL graduated from Butler University. He is a distant relative of Indiana Basketball Hall of Famer, Robert “Fuzzy” Vandivier, a legend at Franklin High School and a member of the Franklin Wonder Five that captured three consecutive IHSAA state titles, 1920-22. Fuzzy went on to star at Franklin College, where he was named collegiate Player of the Year.

Welcome Vandi!

The NBA 2K League season tips off on March 23 with amateur qualifying for the SLAM OPEN. First in-person action in Indianapolis will be April 20-23 in THE TIPOFF bracket play.  The season will conclude with the 3v3 playoffs and finals, August 17-20 and the 5v5 playoffs and finals, August 24-27.
