PACERS GAMING ARE NOW FIRST IN THEIR GROUP AFTER TONIGHT’S WIN

INDIANAPOLIS (June 6, 2024) – For the second consecutive evening Pacers Gaming employed extraordinary team defense in the second half as Indiana won its fourth game in its last five outings Thursday night with huge 62-55 comeback upset of Bucks Gaming in the NBA 2K League 5v5 THE TURN Tournament. Coach Joel Lazu’s Pacers (6-5 overall in ’24) will play Friday at 8 PM against Mavs Gaming.

The Pacers trailed by two after the first quarter, 19-17 and were behind 34-27 at halftime. But a solid, down and dirty 13-8 third quarter and a remarkable 22-13 fourth quarter propelled Pacers Gaming to one of the biggest upsets of the year in 2K. Down by three with under two minutes to play COOKS (Mike Campbell) lit up two emotional three-pointers against his old team to give Indiana a 58-53 lead with 21.7 to play. When Milwaukee closed to within 58-55, it was new addition CEEZ (Caesar Martinez) with two free throws with 8.7 remaining to play who sealed the deal.

CEEZ led the Blue & Gold with 18 points and seven assists while COOKS added 15 points and four assists and SUBGOATED (Josh Ferreira) scored 15. SCOREO (Devin Lawrence) pulled down 13 rebounds, dished six assists and scored 11 while JAYSNAGS (Julio Laboy) grabbed 11 boards, had three steals and scored three points. DIMEZ led Milwaukee with 18 tallies while JOHHNYRED scored 14 and CP contributed 11. Just six days ago the Bucks, one of the better teams in the league, defeated Indiana 76-60 – the Pacers only loss in their last five games!
