PACERS GAMING END SWITCH OPEN GROUP PLAY 2-2

INDIANAPOLIS (March 22, 2024) – Pacers Gaming split two series Friday night to bring its record to 2-2 in the NBA 2K League 3v3 THE SWITCH OPEN Tournament.  After losing to Mavs Gaming in three games in the opener, the Blue & Gold battled back to come from two games down to defeat T-Wolves Gaming. Indiana will await its seed for next week’s seed round.

In the first series of the night the Pacers got swept 3-0 by Mavs Gaming. Dallas took Game 1, 22-16 as JARSITY led the way for the Mavs with 13 points. COOKS (Mike Campbell) led the Pacers with 10. The Mavs captured Game 2, 22-17 as FANTASZN scored 13. COOKS once again led the Indiana attack with 10 points and CHESS (Kory Taylor) added seven points. In Game 3, Pacers coach Joel Lazu put BIGREIGN (Blaine Wilson) into the lineup for the first time in ’24 and the Blue & Gold were more competitive but lost 22-20. JAYSNAGS (Julio Laboy) paced Indiana with 10 points, CHESS scored six and BIGREIGN added four points and seven rebounds. FANTASZN scored 10 for the Mavs.

The T-Wolves captured Game 1 of the nightcap, 21-14 as BEARDABEAST scored 12. JAYSNAGS led Indiana with eight points and CHESS tallied six as the Pacers did not score a three-point basket in the contest. Minnesota took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series with a 23-18 triumph in Game 2 as TUTAK scored 12 for the victors. JAYSNAGS led Indiana with nine and BIGREIGN added five points. The Pacers stayed alive with a 22-15 victory in Game 3 as COOKS scored 11, BIGREIGN netted six and JAYSNAGS scored five. IGYMO led Minnesota with seven. The Pacers had two players in double figures with an impressive 24-20 Game 4 win as BIGREIGN scored 12 (on six-of-six shooting) and COOKS had 10 points with six assists. The Pacers completed the dramatic comeback with a 22-16 victory in Game 5 as BIGREIGN went six-of-six for 12 points, grabbed six rebounds and had three assists. COOKS added eight points and five assists.
