Pacers Gaming Inks First Founding Partner

Indiana Army National Guard Gains Major Marketing Presence

INDIANAPOLIS – Pacers Gaming, one of 17 teams in the new NBA 2K League and owned by Pacers Sports & Entertainment, has signed its first Founding Partner. The Indiana Army National Guard will partner with the esports entity in a multi-faceted marketing sponsorship.

The package will include signage and logo placement in the new Pacers Gaming Training Facility at the St. Vincent Center in downtown Indianapolis in addition to digital media and marketing elements that will include in-game exposure and even a video series. In addition, coaches and players from Pacers Gaming will make appearances on behalf of the Indiana Army National Guard.

“It’s an outstanding and natural fit between Pacers Gaming and the Indiana National Guard as we seek a workforce that is relevant, technical, agile and adaptable,” said Lt. Col. John Pitt, Commander of the Indiana Army National Guard Recruiting & Retention Battalion. “Gamers and cyber professionals share the same traits – the ability to process massive amounts of information and then take decisive action. They both have a keen and deep understanding of strategy, the ability to identify complex patterns and then apply that with critical thinking in the decision-making process.”

“We are very excited to announce the Indiana Army National Guard as our first founding partner,” said PS&E Senior VP and Head of Pacers Gaming Kelly Krauskopf. “This partnership is an opportunity for us both to build awareness and community outreach to young men and women through our competitive gaming team. Building a franchise from the ground up takes teamwork and our partnership with the Indiana Army National Guard represents that.”
