PACERS GAMING LOSE IN 5V5 PLAYOFFS; SEASON OVER

WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 26, 2024) – Pacers Gaming saw its 2024 5v5 season come to an end Wednesday night in a 0-2 best-of-three series loss to Bucks Gaming in the first round of the NBA 2K League playoffs in Washington, D.C. Bucks Gaming took Game 1 in overtime 78-76 before completing the sweep with an 84-58 triumph in Game 2. Indiana finished the year with an 8-9 overall mark.

Game 1 was very competitive, and the Pacers led at the half 32-29 and after three quarters, 51-45. But Bucks Gaming outscored Indiana 19-13 in the fourth quarter to force the extra period. Milwaukee converted six-of-six free throws in the last 9.3 of overtime to complete the comeback victory. SUBGOATED (Josh Ferreira) led Indiana with a season-high 26 points, followed by COOKS (Mike Campbell) with 18 tallies and seven assists and SCOREO (Devin Lawrence) with 14 points and seven rebounds. CEEZ (Caesar Martinez) added 11 points and a team-high nine assists. JOHHNYRED led the Bucks with 37 points while veteran DIMEZ added a double/double with 21 points and 13 rebounds. The Pacers were outrebounded 22-11.

Bucks Gaming took an early 22-13 first quarter lead and never looked back in Game 2, outscoring Indiana in each period enroute to a 84-58 victory. DIMEZ, who had a double/double in Game 1, registered a triple/double in Game 2 with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for Bucks Gaming. JOHHNYRED added 22 for Milwaukee. COOKS paced Indiana with 24 points followed by SCOREO with a double/double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. CEEZ added nine points and nine assists for the Pacers. The Pacers were outrebounded 18-11.
