PACERS GAMING LOSE, MAKING THEM 2-2 IN GROUP PLAY

INDIANAPOLIS (May 15, 2024) – Pacers Gaming saw its 5v5 record drop to 2-2 Wednesday night with a 79-64 loss to Bucks Gaming in the NBA 2K League THE TIPOFF Tournament. It marked the first of three straight nights of action for the Pacers, who play DUX Infinitos of Mexico City on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. and Grizz Gaming on Friday at 6:00 p.m. Indiana was led by SCOREO (Devin Lawrence) who scored 22 points and pulled down seven rebounds; CHESS (Kory Taylor), who scored 21 and dished five assists and COOKS (Mike Campbell) who 14 points and handed out nine assists. DIMEZ led Milwaukee with 25 points, 15 rebounds and six assists while CP added 22 tallies and eight assists.
The first quarter was high octane as both teams scored 25 points. CHESS netted 12 for the Pacers and COOKS had nine while three different players had six points apiece for Bucks Gaming. Milwaukee took a 46-40 halftime edge with a 21-15 second quarter as CP scored 11 for the Bucks. CHESS had seven and SCOREO had five for the Pacers. Milwaukee’s defense had an impressive third quarter, limiting Indiana to just nine points en route to taking the quarter 15-9 to hold a 61-49 advantage after three quarters. Bucks Gaming outscored the Pacers 18-15 in the fourth to claim the victory.
