PACERS GAMING LOSES TO DUX INFINITOS 64-66, IN THE TIPOFF GROUP PLAY

INDIANAPOLIS (May 16, 2024) – Pacers Gaming lost its second game in as many nights Thursday, dropping a close 66-64 decision to DUX Infinitos of Mexico City in the NBA 2K League’s 5v5 THE TIPOFF Tournament. The Pacers (2-3) will play Grizz Gaming on Friday at 6:00 p.m.

After battling to a 16-16 tie after the first quarter, Indiana saw DUX outscore the Pacers 21-16 in the second quarter to take a 37-32 halftime advantage. The Blue & Gold rallied in the third quarter, outscoring Mexico City 20-17 to pull within 54-52 after three periods. DUX, who beat Indiana by nine just eight days ago, played the Pacers to a 12-12 fourth quarter to gain the two-point victory.

CHESS (Kory Taylor) led Indiana with 26 points while point guard COOKS (Mike Campbell) tallied 14 and dished out 11 assists. Pacers center SCOREO (Devin Lawrence) added 13. GAZULLI led Mexico City with 18 points while former Pacer BIG REIGN had a double/double with 16 points and 15 rebounds against his old team. The Pacers struggled on the boards, getting outrebounded 20-9, including 9-0 on the offensive end.
