PACERS GAMING SOLIDIFIES ROSTER IN 2023 NBA 2K LEAGUE DRAFT

INDIANAPOLIS (January 26, 2023) – Pacers Gaming solidified its roster in anticipation of the 2023 NBA 2K League season Thursday night with four selections in the annual league draft, held in New York City. Indiana had three selections among the top 11 picks in the first round and took point guard GREENLIGHT (Dylan Sanderson) from Nashville, Tenn., with its first choice. Four selections later Pacers Gaming tabbed power forward JAYSNAGGS (Julio Laboy) from the Bronx before taking small forward RANGE (Gilbert Santiago), also from the Bronx at No. 11. The Pacers closed their night with the 34th overall pick, taking shooting guard BLK (Kory Taylor) from Detroit in the second round. Center BIGREIGN (Blaine Wilson) from Montgomery, Alabama, is the only returnee from 2022.

“We of course, had needs going into the draft,” said Pacers Gaming General Manger Cody Parrent. “With four positions to fill, we made trades prior to the draft to position ourselves to have three picks in the top 11.” Pacers Gaming was the only NBA 2K League franchise with three selections in the first round. “I could not be happier with the guys we ended up with,” added Parrent. “They know each other. They are comfortable with each other. Their work ethic is top drawer. We can’t wait to get started.”

GREENLIGHT (Dylan Sanderson), one of the top point guards in the draft, actually wanted to come to Indiana. “This is the place I wanted to be,” said Sanderson. “I have family in Michigan, and I have made the drive from Nashville to Michigan many times; driving through Indiana. Now, I get to call it home. And, to play with RANGE and JAYSNAGGS and BIGREIGN – guys I know – is just the best.” His personal esports court is decorated in Pacers’ blue and gold with the Pacers logo.
