PACERS GAMING START 1-0 IN THE SWITCH OPEN

INDIANAPOLIS (March 20, 2024) – Pacers Gaming opened play in the 3v3 NBA 2K League THE SWITCH OPEN Tournament in dominant fashion Wednesday night with an impressive 3-0 sweep (23-18, 23-14, 23-16) of Blazer5 Gaming, 2K affiliate of the Portland Trailblazers. The Pacers, who won this championship two years ago, will play Thursday at 6:45 p.m. against Lakers Gaming. Indiana will complete its first week of the tournament with a doubleheader on Friday night – 6:00 p.m. against Mavs Gaming and 7:30 p.m. against T-Wolves Gaming.

In the first-team-to-21-wins format, the Pacers took Game 1, 23-18 as Indiana’s leading scorer – COOKS (Mike Campbell) – paced the attack with 11 points and five assists. CHESS (Kory Taylor) and JAYSNAGS (Julio Laboy) combined for 12 points on five-for-five shooting. FAIZ led Portland with seven points. COOKS scored 11 again in a Game 2 23-14 triumph. CHESS added eight for the winners and YOUBOTS scored 12 for the Blazers. COOKS scored 11 for the third straight game and the Pacers scored 23 points for the third straight encounter as Indiana swept the series with a 23-16 victory in Game 3. JAYSNAGS and CHESS again combined for 12 points on five-of-five shooting from the field. YOUBOTS lead the Blazers with 10 points.
