PACERS GAMING VS BUCKS GAMING – TIPOFF TOURNAMENT GROUP B

INDIANAPOLIS – A rough third quarter did damage to Pacers Gaming (0-3) as Indiana lost, 67-53, to Bucks Gaming (2-2) in the NBA 2K League THE TIPOFF Tournament Tuesday night. The Pacers will play Warriors Gaming Squad on Wednesday at a time to be determined. The Pacers will complete pool play in the tournament on Friday night at 9 PM vs. Mavs Gaming.
The Pacers trailed 16-14 after one quarter and 630 had six of his 11 points in the opening period. Indiana battled back in the second quarter behind Lavish’s seven points and tied the game at the half, 32-32. Pacers Gaming was outscored 13-4 in the crucial third quarter and Milwaukee led 45-36 entering the fourth. Twice the Pacers pulled within one in the final quarter, 45-44 and 48-47 (with 3:40 remaining), but Bucks Gaming got clutch scoring from Cooks and Johhny down the stretch to earn its second win in pool play.
Jomar (Jomar Varela-Escapa) led the Blue & Gold with his third consecutive double/double with season highs of 22 points and 15 assists. He also contributed a season-high four steals. Leading scorer 630 (Xavier Barraza) was held to a career-low 11 points on 4-11 shooting. Lavish (Andron Thomas) added nine points and nine rebounds and newcomer Vandi (Zach Vandivier) contributed seven points and eight assists. Cooks paced Milwaukee with 28 points while Johhny added 21.
