INDIANAPOLIS (April 27, 2023) – Pacers Gaming’s effort to defend its SWITCH OPEN Tournament title came to an end Thursday night with a 3-1 series loss to Cavs Gaming in in-person 2023 SWITCH OPEN Lower Bracket play in Washington, D.C. Indiana, now 13-11 in NBA 2K League 3v3 play, will try to make the 3v3 playoffs next week in the STEAL Tournament in D.C.
Cleveland jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series with a 22-14 victory in Game 1. ANTOINE led the Cavs with 12 points. The Pacers were led by CHESS (Kory Taylor) with seven points. The Blue & Gold suffered two turnovers in the game while Cleveland committed none. The Cavs won Game 2, 21-18 as SUBGOATED scored 10 for the victors. JAYSNAGS (Julio Laboy) scored eight for Indiana and CHESS added seven points and four assists. The Pacers captured Game 3, 23-20 on a game-winning dunk by CHESS. JAYSNAGS (12 points) and CHESS (11 points) combined to shoot 11 of 13 from the field in the victory. CHESS added three assists. SUBGOATED led Cleveland with nine tallies. The Cavs captured the series with a 22-14 victory in Game 4 as ANTOINE scored 18 for Cleveland. JAYSNAGS netted eight and CHESS scored six for Indiana while BIG REIGN (Blaine Wilson) pulled down four rebounds.
