PACERS GAMING VS HEAT CHECK GAMING – SWITCH OPEN 3V3 TOURNAMENT

INDIANAPOLIS – Pacers Gaming improved its record in the NBA 2K League 3v3 THE SWITCH OPEN Tournament to an impressive 6-1 Thursday night at the Pavilion at Pan Am in downtown Indianapolis with a thundering three-game sweep of Heat Check Gaming and moved into Friday night’s quarterfinal round against Cavs Legion GC. Friday’s series, a best-of-seven, will  be tip off at 7:00pm.

Pacers veteran WoLF (Bryant Colon) – the first draft pick in team history – was on fire against the Heat, making his first 16 shots from the field in the three games before missing on his final attempt of the evening.  WoLF was the team’s leading scorer in all three games, netting 13, 12 and 11 points in the victories.

Game 1 was a back-and-forth battle which saw Indiana down three (18-15) and down two (20-18) late.  First team to 21 and up by two points wins in this format.  Down 20-18, VANDI (Zach Vandivier) nailed a three pointer for a 21-20 lead.  After Miami scored to go up 22-21, WoLF hit one from downtown for the 24-22 final.  WoLF was five-of-five (three-of-three from three) with two rebounds and 13 points.  VANDI added nine points and team-high five assists.  SAV had 10 points for Miami.

The Pacers took an early lead in Game 2 and never looked back, winning 21-13.  WoLF led the way with 12 points on six-of-six shooting and a team-high three rebounds.  VANDI contributed six points and a team-high seven assists.  JOMAR (Jomar Varela-Escapa) had three points, a rebound, a steal and an assist. SAV led the Heat with 11.

Indiana completed the sweep in Game 3 running out to a 17-6 lead before winning 22-17.  WoLF had 11 points (five-of-six from the field) with two rebounds; VANDI netted six points and dished five assists and JOMAR had five points, a rebound, two assists and two steals.  SAV had 10 for Miami.
