PACERS GAMING VS T-WOLVES GAMING AND RAPTORS UPRISING GC – THE SWITCH 3V3

INDIANAPOLIS (April 5, 2023) – Pacers Gaming split its two series late Tuesday night to move to 5-1 in the NBA 2K League 3v3 SWITCH OPEN Tournament. The Pacers will play two more best-of-five series on Friday: 6:00 PM vs. Wizards District Gaming and 9:00 PM vs. 76ers GC. Remote seeding play for the event begins next week.
The night’s second series featured a classic between the Pacers and Raptors Uprising GC as Indiana stormed back from a 2-1 deficit to win Games 4 and 5 in dramatic fashion to claim the series 3-2. In the first game Toronto won 21-16 as MOOCH led the way for the winners with 18 points. JAYSNAGS (Julio Laboy) led Indiana with eight points and CHESS (Kory Taylor) contributed five tallies. JAYSNAGS was perfect (four-for-four from the field and two-of-two from three) in Game 2 leading the way with 10 points in a 21-16 victory. BIG REIGN (Blaine Wilson) added six points and five rebounds while CHESS chipped in with five points and six assists. MOOCH and GAZULLI led Toronto with seven points apiece.
In the tightly contested series, the Raptors edged the Pacers 22-20 in Game 3 to take a 2-1 series advantage and come within a win of taking the series. MOOCH scored 20 of his team’s 22 points for the victors. CHESS had 10 points and JAYSNAGS scored eight for Indiana, which led 20-19 late only to get beat by a last-second three pointer. Winners are the first team to reach 21 points but must win by two points. With their backs to the wall the Pacers gutted out a thrilling 21-18 victory in Game 4 with balanced scoring: CHESS had nine and JAYSNAGS and BIG REIGN each recorded six points. CHESS dished out five assists. HAAM led Toronto with 11 points. In the deciding Game 5 the Blue & Gold were down 17-14 and 20-18 but battled back with great late-game defense and won the series with a dramatic 22-20 victory. CHESS has 14 points and three assists to lead Indiana while JAYSNAGS provided six points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal. BIG REIGN was huge with four key rebounds. MOOCH led Toronto in the losing effort with 11 points.
In the evening’s first series, the Blue & Gold fell to T-Wolves Gaming 1-3 (17-21, 21-19, 14-21, 19-22). SHIFTYKAI netted 18 points for Minnesota in the Game 1 win. The Pacers were led by CHESS with 10 points and JAYSNAGS with seven. Indiana tied the series at a game apiece in Game 2 as CHESS scored 17 on seven-of-eight shooting and BIG REIGN tied his own 3v3 team record with seven rebounds. SHIFTY had all of the T-Wolves 19 points. Minnesota took a 2-1 series edge with a 21-14 triumph in Game 3 as SHIFTY went for 17 points. CHESS had 12 for the Pacers. Indiana lost a heart-breaker in Game 4 as Minnesota took the series with a 22-19 victory. SHIFTY had 16 for the winners while CHESS scored 10 for the Pacers.
