PACERS GAMING VS WARRIORS GAMING SQUAD – TIPOFF TOURNAMENT GROUP B

INDIANAPOLIS –Pacers Gaming saw its record in pool play in the season-opening NBA 2K League The Tipoff Tournament drop to 0-4 with late Thursday night’s 65-58 loss to Warriors Gaming (3-1). The Pacers will finish pool play on Friday when they face Mavs Gaming at 9:00 p.m. The Pacers fell behind by five after one quarter and trailed 31-24 at halftime. Warriors Gaming, who have faced Indiana in The Tipoff for four consecutive seasons, outscored the Pacers 17-14 in the third quarter to lead 48-38 after three. After falling behind by 12 early in the fourth, the Pacers battled back and pulled within three (56-53) with just 1:26 to play but late free throws secured the win for the Warriors. Center JOMAR (Jomar Varela-Escapa) registered his fourth consecutive double/double to start 2022 with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard VANDI (Zach Vandivier) scored 13 points and for the second consecutive night, guard 630 (Xavier Barraza) was held to a career-low 11 points but did have a team-high eight assists. Forward LAVISH (Andron Thomas) contributed eight points and seven rebounds in the loss. The Warriors were led by HEZI with 23 points and 15 rebounds and CB13 added 14 points.
