PACERS GAMING VS WIZARDS DISTRICT GAMING – THE SWITCH 3V3

INDIANAPOLIS (April 5, 2023) – Pacers Gaming won its third straight series in the NBA 2K League 3v3 SWITCH OPEN Tournament Wednesday night with an impressive 3-0 series sweep over Wizards District Gaming.  The Pacers (defending champions in THE SWITCH and now 3-0 in this year’s tournament) will play on Thursday at 9:45 p.m. against 76ers GC as the first week of the event’s remote group play continues.  The 3v3 best-of-five event features the first team to 21 wins but must win by two points.

In Game 1, the Blue & Gold fell behind early but roared at the end, winning 21-15 as CHESS (Kory Taylor) scored 10 points and dished four assists.  BIG REIGN (Blaine Wilson) added seven points on three-of-three shooting.  KAPP had 10 for the Wizards.

CHESS again led the Pacers in Game 2 with 11 points and JAYSNAGS (Julio Laboy) contributed nine points on four-of-four shooting in the 23-20 victory. Up 21-20 and with DC with the ball and looking for a game-winning three, the Pacers played great defense, forced a shot clock violation, and then won the game with a three! KAPP had 16 for DC in Game 2.

The Pacers wasted no time completing the sweep, taking Game 3, 21-15 as CHESS scored 11, and BIG REIGN tallied nine.  JAYSNAGS was super active with three assists and three steals. KAPP had nine points for the Wizards.

“The team is really confident right now,” said head coach Cody Parrent.  ”Not cocky, whatsoever. But just confident as they grow.  We’re taking it one game at a time.  Now, we can go across the street and root on the Pacers to a win over the Knicks.”
