Pacers Gaming Win Second Straight

INDIANAPOLIS (May 30, 2024) – Pacers Gaming backcourt mates CEEZ (Caesar Martinez) and COOKS (Mike Campbell) combined for 62 points on sizzling shooting (a combined 21 of 25 from the floor including 12 of 15 from the arc) to lead Indiana to its second victory in as many nights with an 87-76 triumph over T-Wolves Gaming Thursday in the NBA 2K League’s THE TURN Tournament. The 4-4 Pacers will play Friday at 6 PM vs. Bucks Gaming.

COOKS finished with 39 points – 17 in the third quarter alone – and five assists.  The Brooklyn, NY native was 13-16 from the field and 9-12 from the arc.  CEEZ, who joined the team Tuesday night via a trade, added 23 points on 8-9 shooting and dished a team-high 11 assists.  SCOREO (Devin Lawrence) added 10 points and six rebounds, SUBGOATED (Josh Ferreira) scored nine with four assists and JAYSNAGS (Julio Laboy) contributed six points, four rebounds and four assists for Coach Joel Lazu’s squad.  BEARDABEAST led Minnesota with 25 points and 15 assists and POLOW had 22 tallies.

The Pacers trailed by as many as 10 in the first quarter and were behind 25-19 after one period as BEARDABEAST scored 10 for the T-Wolves.  The Pacers made some communication adjustments and COOKS got it rolling for 11 points in the second quarter to pull Indiana within one point, 42-41 at halftime.  COOKS did not cool off during the break with his 17-point explosion in the third quarter as both teams scored 21 points and the Pacers trailed 63-62 headed into the final stanza.  Indiana’s defense rose to the occasion in the fourth quarter, holding the T-Wolves to 13 points while the offense exploded for 25 points to take the 87-76 victory.
