WEEK 7 – PACERS GAMING VS T-WOLVES GAMING

INDIANAPOLIS – In a battle of the top two teams in the NBA 2K League Western Conference, Pacers Gaming dropped two road games Saturday night at T-Wolves Gaming, 102-78 and 79-69, to fall into second place in the Western Conference of the NBA 2K league. Indiana, now 15-7, will play July 30 vs. Grizz Gaming at 7:00 p.m. and on July 31 at 7:00 p.m. vs. Mavs Gaming.  Minnesota takes over first place in the West with a 16-6 mark.

Game 1 started out well for Indiana.  LavishPhenom had 10 points and 630 contributed eight points and four assists in the first quarter as Pacers Gaming held a 23-19 advantage after the initial period.  But the T-Wolves outscored Indy 27-19 in the second to lead 46-42 at half.  Wolf had 16 points and LavishPhenom had 12 at intermission for the visitors.  Minnesota used a 31-16 third quarter to bolster its lead to 77-58 after three.  The T-Wolves, behind ShiftyKaii’s 34 points and 10 assists, outscored Pacers Gaming 25-20 in the fourth to secure the win.

630 led Indiana with 23 points (his second-lowest total of the season) and a season-high tying 15 assists while LavishPhenom scored a season-high 22 points on 10-of-11 shooting from the field.  Wolf added 19 points on seven-of-eight from the field, including five-of-six from the three-point arc.

Minnesota wasted no time taking control in the second game, leading 21-18 after the first quarter despite 11 points from LavishPhenom.  The T-Wolves used a 25-16 second period to bolster their lead to 25-16 at intermission.  The home team outscored Indiana 15-13 in the third quarter to lead 61-47 after three.  Indiana tried to rally, outscoring the T-Wolves 22-18 in the fourth, but came up short.  LavishPhenom and 630 each scored 27 for Pacers Gaming and 630 added 13 assists.
