Week 8: Pacers Gaming vs Raptors Uprising GC

Raptors Uprising GC (5-6) took down Pacers Gaming (5-4) by a score of 53-46 Thursday night in Week 8 of 2K League regular-season play.

The Raptors jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead in the first minute of the contest, and held a 7-2 lead through two minutes of action. Pacers Gaming struggled to shoot and take care of the basketball in the early going, and Raptors Uprising GC held a 16-7 lead heading into the second stanza.

The Pacers fought back in the second quarter and cut the deficit down to four points with a minute remaining, but the Raptors got a few quick buckets followed by a pair of free throws to increase the lead to 10 at the half. Sick x 973 led the Raptors with nine points and five boards at the half, while Man In A Car paced the Pacers with five points and three rebounds.

Pacers Gaming appeared to have more energy coming out of the half, but the Raptors managed to maintain their 10-point lead for the first three minutes of the period. Pacers Gaming made a strong run in the final minutes of the 4th quarter, cutting the deficit to just three points with under a minute to go. However, Raptors Uprising GC would manage to seal the game on a corner three with 26 seconds remaining. Kenny Got Work got hot in the second half and finished with 22 points and eight assists for the Raptors. KingQuai614 also finished in double figures (11 points). Man In A Car led the Pacers in scoring with 13 points, while Ramo and Swizurk registered 12 and 10 points, respectively.
